A new online exchange auction for surplus materials handling equipment is set to go live this summer. GoIndustry Dovebid international auctioneers, in association with ShD (Storage Handling Distribution magazine), will offer buyers and sellers a marketplace where used surplus materials handling equipment can be bought and sold. A unique aspect of an exchange auction is that it offers sellers with single or multiple items access to worldwide markets, and buyers access to a wide variety and brand of goods.
The Materials Handling Exchange will provide a global marketplace for an assortment of warehouse handling equipment, from fork lift trucks and racking to scissor lifts and conveyors. Bi-monthly online auctions – the first of which ends on 23rd July - allow buyers to place bids and purchase equipment from anywhere in the world.
“The trade, end users and OEMs will all be able to participate in this initiative, which offers local and national sellers a worldwide audience of buyers. Whether you wish to sell a single piece of equipment, or need to dispose of a range of items, Materials Handling Exchange will promote that sale on a no-win-no-fee basis.
Companies or individuals looking to sell or buy equipment are invited to visit GoIndustry Dovebid’s website, www.go-dove.com, to get a feel of how the auctions will work. Peter Budden, GoIndustry’s business development manager for the Materials Handling Exchange, suggests all interested buyers and sellers should contact him first on 07785 221922 or peter.budden@go-dove.com. From that point onwards, GoIndustry will take care of all administration, and help with matters such as descriptions, valuations, and setting reserves.
The first Materials Handling Exchange auction is already attracting lots, and is closing on the 23rd July. Subsequent auctions are scheduled to complete on 17th September and 19th November.
