Auction of Waterford Crystal’s ‘In Remembrance of Fr. Mychal Judge’ Commemorating 9/11, ends this Thursday, February 25

Waterford, Ireland - Master craftsman at Waterford Crystal, Sean Egan, was looking for a way to express his sympathy and to honor the City of New York’s Fire Department (FDNY) following the tragic events of September 11, 2001. Working in his own time, he went on to create a tribute sculpture depicting FDNY Chaplain Father Mychal Judge being carried from The World Trade Center site on 9/11. The piece is his memorial to the 343 New York City Fire Department members who lost their lives on 9/11. The tall building shell represents all who died in the towers.

The only replica of the original - which was presented to New York Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta in March 2007 - is available for auction online by GoIndustry DoveBid in association with McKay and Associates. The closing date for this item is 25th February. To register for the auction click here or go to go to http://www.go-dove.com/event-14065.
